Robinson said her legal background has also given her experience assessing evidence, considering competing interests and understanding the practical and policy implications of decisions.

Responsible growth and sustainability are among the priorities she has identified for Lakefield. She said future development should be supported by appropriate infrastructure and services while also protecting the natural environment and considering the long-term interests of the community.

Her other stated priorities include transparent and accountable municipal government, supporting local businesses, and creating a community where families, young people and seniors can thrive.

Robinson said she plans to take a collaborative approach to municipal government, emphasizing listening to residents, considering evidence and asking questions before making decisions.

This is Robinson's first campaign for Lakefield Ward Councillor. She said her goal is to use her experience in law, government, sustainability and public policy to contribute to decisions about Lakefield's future.
