Lawn watering ban lifted in Lakefield; annual watering restrictions remain in effect

Selwyn Township has lifted the full lawn watering ban for the Village of Lakefield. The Township extends its sincere thanks to all residents for their patience and cooperation during this period.

While the temporary ban has ended, annual watering restrictions remain in effect for both the Village of Lakefield and the Woodland Acres subdivision, in accordance with the Watering Restrictions By-law, to help ensure an adequate water supply for all.

Lakefield Watering Restrictions

Effective May 15 until further notice:

  • Odd-numbered addresses: May water only on odd-numbered calendar days, between 7:00–9:00 a.m. and 6:00–10:00 p.m.

  • Even-numbered addresses: May water only on even-numbered calendar days, between 7:00–9:00 a.m. and 6:00–10:00 p.m.

Woodland Acres Watering Restrictions

Effective June 1 until further notice:

  • Odd-numbered addresses: May water only on odd-numbered days, between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

  • Even-numbered addresses: May water only on even-numbered days, between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Please note that non-compliance may result in a $50 surcharge applied to your water bill.
