The Lakefield Farmers’ Market is hosting a Corn Festival on Thursday, September 17.
Stop by the market for:
Spicy Street Corn — toppings from LaMesita Restaurante and corn from Selwyn Garlic Farm
Butter Sculptures — artisan vendors will be getting creative with butter! Jennie Mackenzie from Jen’s Home Baking will judge the creations and choose a winner at 10:00 a.m.
Face painting from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Try other corn-themed food like, corn with compound butter from Ontario Cheese Union, or sample corn relish from The Jam Cupboard.
Ontario singer-songwriter Kentucky will perform as part of the Music on the Water series, bringing live music to the Trent-Severn Waterway.
The market is open every Thursday, rain or shine, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. until October 29, 2026.
