Music on the Water comes to Lakefield this week, with several free live performances taking place at waterfront destinations throughout the region.

Ontario singer-songwriter Jordan Holman, performing as Kentucky, is bringing his blend of rock, folk and acoustic storytelling to communities along the Trent-Severn Waterway as part of a special series of performances.

The tour is connected with Le Boat's Trent-Severn Waterway cruising experience, although the concerts are open for visitors and community members to enjoy.

The series has already made stops at the Peterborough Lift Lock and Canoe & Paddle in Lakefield, with more performances planned throughout the week.

Other stops include:

  • Lovesick Island on Sunday, September 13 at 6:30 p.m.

  • Beachwood Resort on Monday, September 14 at 5:30 p.m.

  • Tankhouse on the Trent on Tuesday, September 15 at 6:00 p.m.

The final stop will take place at the Lakefield Farmers' Market on Thursday, September 17, with a live performance from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Visitors can enjoy live music while exploring local vendors, fresh produce, and artisan goods.

The performances offer another opportunity to experience live music while celebrating the communities and destinations along Ontario’s historic Trent-Severn Waterway.
