The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 77 in Lakefield is holding an official dedication for the new Veterans Memorial Crosswalk in Lakefield on Saturday, June 20th at 10:00 a.m.
The crosswalk is located on Queen Street between Free Topping Pizza and Memorial Hall (Lakefield Library.)
The Legion asks that community members walk to the event if they can, so parking spots can remain open for local businesses.
The crosswalk was made possible through a collaborative effort between the Lakefield Legion, Selwyn Township, and Peterborough County.
