Winners of the 2026 Chocolate Creations Festival announced

The Lakefield Village Lions Club has announced the winners of the 2026 Lakefield Chocolate Creations Festival. The Nutty Bean Cafe, Lakefield Greek Restaurant, and Lakefield Animal Welfare Society took first place in their respective categories.

Now in its sixth year, the festival invited residents and visitors to explore Lakefield while sampling chocolate-inspired treats and voting for their favourites in three categories.

The winners are as follows:

Food Category

• First Place – Lakefield Restaurant

• Second Place – The Loon Lakefield

Drink Category

• First Place – The Nutty Bean Cafe

• Second Place – Jack's Restaurant - Lakefield

Creativity Category

• First Place – Lakefield Animal Welfare Society

• Second Place – Sunshrine Day Spa & Salon

The 2026 festival featured 18 participating businesses and organizations.

Organizers say the response from the community was enthusiastic, with many residents and visitors travelling around the village to sample multiple chocolate creations while supporting local businesses.

The Village Lions also thanked the festival committee and everyone who helped promote the event both online and in person, noting that the continued support helps make the event a success each year.
