Held every two years, the awards celebrate permanent and seasonal residents, groups, and businesses that have made extraordinary contributions to communities across the County. The 2026 awards were presented on Thursday, May 14 in Otonabee-South Monaghan.

Among the local winners was Kawartha Home Hardware, who received the Business Leadership Award recognizing businesses that have made outstanding contributions to the county.

In a social media post following the award presentation, Kawartha Home Hardware thanked the community for its ongoing support, “We truly could not have achieved this without the unwavering support of our amazing community. Since the fire, the kindness, encouragement, and support we’ve received has meant more than words can express — and it continues every single day.”
