Lakefield Lions Clubs launch summer raffle to support local pediatric cancer care
By Stacey Sullivan
The Lakefield Village Lions Club and Lakefield & District Lions Club have teamed up for a Summer Raffle to raise funds for pediatric cancer care at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, as well as other registered charities.
Proceeds from the raffle will help provide children in the community with life-saving treatment close to home, easing the emotional and financial burden families face when traveling for care.
Tickets are $10 each, with a total of 9,000 tickets printed. The top prize is $15,000, followed by a $3,000 prize and $2,000 prize.
Members of both Lions clubs will be selling tickets throughout the region this summer. Tickets are also available at local businesses in Lakefield and the surrounding area.
