Kawartha Home Hardware to reopen at temporary location on December 10

Just over two months after a devastating fire at their downtown location in the Village of Lakefield, Kawartha Home Hardware is set to reopen in a temporary pop-up space.

The store will welcome customers on Wednesday, December 10, beginning at 8:00 a.m.

In a Facebook post, Kawartha Home Hardware stated, “After the devastating fire, being able to open our doors again — even in a temporary space — feels a lot like coming home.”

“This pop-up location gives us the chance to keep serving you, supporting our community, and staying connected while we rebuild our permanent store.”

Hours of operation will be Monday to Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“Thank you for standing with us through every step. It truly feels good to be home-and we can’t wait to welcome you in!” Kawartha Home Hardware added.

While the pop-up location provides an opportunity to continue serving the Lakefield community, Kawartha Home Hardware has confirmed plans to rebuild at its original downtown location.
