Kawartha Home Hardware shares message of thanks, plans to rebuild after fire

Kawartha Home Hardware Group of Stores has released a statement thanking the community and outlining plans to rebuild following a recent fire at their Lakefield location.

In an email to Discover Lakefield, Kawartha Home Hardware stated the following:

“As many of you know, our Kawartha Home Hardware store was lost to fire. Due to safety concerns and the need to reopen the street for public access, the Fire Chief ordered the immediate demolition of the building.

We want to extend our sincere thanks to all the nearby businesses whose operations have been affected for their understanding and cooperation during this difficult time. Your support means so much to us.

Our heartfelt appreciation also goes out to our incredible community for the outpouring of kindness, clothing, and contributions for the tenants who lost not only their homes but all of their belongings. Your generosity truly reflects the spirit of Lakefield.

Our goal is to rebuild a new Hardware store for Lakefield as soon as possible - one that our entire community can be proud of.

Thank you for standing with us. Together, we'll build again - stronger than ever.

- The Kawartha Home Hardware Team”
